Divine Assignment
This is an
awesome and amazing story about endurance, perseverance, longsuffering,
humility, motivation, inspiration, and joy. It is a great pleasure to
tell you what GOD has done for Rev. Geneva M. Bazille,
and now on a “Divine Assignment” to connect with the world. A true
testimony of God’s blessing by believing in what he says.
Over thirty two years ago I had a tumor located on the
brain stem and the right ear. The physicians had to remove my inner and
middle ear, eardrum, and facial nerves. The results were devastating
(facial palsy and deafness in the right ear). The surgery was
incredibly long and I stayed in a coma for almost three months. They
said that if I survived it would be a “miracle.” The ending results
from the coma could have been brain damage and a vegetated state.
Gradually, I
woke up and learned to walk, talk, and eat without the assistance of
physical, speech or occupational therapy. My inner strength continued
believing, focusing, praying, and pressing on to reach the highest
educational potential, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts
and Sociology, a Master’s in Public Administration and Healthcare
Administration, and an ordained minister. Later on in life I learned
that sometimes you must push through hard times, and these lessons in
life are often extremely beneficial.
On October 9,
2004, at a women’s retreat, I was healed from deafness in the right
ear, and returned home with joy and praises. Then I called the audiologist
for a hearing evaluation assessment of the right ear and scored a 70%.
This is truly a miraculous healing!!!
My story and
testimony reached many geographical areas in the U.S. via churches,
conferences, revivals, retreats, radio stations, gospel TV shows,
newspapers, magazines, etc…. Also I have a
website to share my story with the world, www.miracleassignment.com.
The anointed
story had people crying, clapping, exalting, laughing, praising, rejoicing,
shouting and the glory of God arose with the peace, presence, and power
of God. The feedback from the testimony was healing in the body, soul,
spirit (there were several miraculous restorations of hearing loss),
and deliverance from bondage. It enhanced encouragements,
strengthening, and stretching their faith to the “impossible.”
Nevertheless, I had people speak into my right ear, and I could
correctly repeat what was said to me in my right ear to build up their
faith in God.
My desire is
for you to make a decision to move towards GOD’s mercy, step forward
with His favor, and continue to press on with His peace. This is an
explosion of good news, compassion, gratefulness (heartfelt thanks)
hope, faith, and love; go tell it…to bless someone!!!

Rev. Geneva M.
Bazille had a miracle that took place at the
Women's Retreat held in Mississippi sponsored by a
local church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In the Saturday night
service held on October 9th, 2004, Geneva was prayed for and ministered
by a prophetess. Upon returning to her seat, the Holy Spirit
instructed Geneva to turn around in her chair and put her left finger
into her left ear (to stop sounds from entering her left ear).
Immediately, she was able to hear. She jumped up and announced to a
group of women that she can Now hear in her right ear after 32 years.
Geneva lost her hearing in the right ear due to an operation needed to
remove a tumor lodged in her brain and right ear. The hearing loss in
the right ear was zero percent and permanent.
During
praising and thanking God for her miracle, the Holy Spirit instructed
her to call the Audiologist (Hearing Specialist whom documented her
hearing loss). The doctor completed the Audiological evaluation
Assessment (test) and validated that she had 70% of hearing back in the
right ear. The test was done on Geneva's birthday on October 14, 2004.
The Holy
Spirit gave Geneva a MIRACLE ASSIGNMENT "Go tell your family,
friends, neighbors, and the entire world; how the Lord has blessed you
with the gift of hearing again and that God is still on the throne and
hears his people cries. Also, that he is mindful of his people
twenty-four hours a day; seven days a week; and three hundred and sixty five days a year; God also said that he
performed this miracle to give his people courage and hope."
At this
time, Geneva will praise, glorify, and magnify God for this
First Anniversary, (October 9th, 2005), of this miraculous healing and
thanking Him for his mercy and grace.
Geneva gives a
heartfelt thanks to all pastors from various denominations (Apostolic,
Baptist, Church of God, Church of God in Christ, Church of God of
Prophecy, Full Gospel, Interdenominational-Non-Denominational,
Methodist A.M. E., and Pentecostal) for the opportunity to share the
"MIRACLE ASSIGNMENT" (testimony) with their congregations.
The testimony reached many geographical areas in the United States. The
anointed testimony had people crying, clapping, exalting, laughing,
praising, rejoicing, shouting and the Glory of God arose with the
peace, presence, and power of God. The feedback from the testimony was
healing in their mind, body, soul, and spirit (there were several
miraculous restoration of hearing loss), and deliverance from
bondages. The testimony enhanced encouragements, strengthening and
stretching their faith to the impossible, and how to persevere. Nevertheless,
Geneva had the people speak into her right ear, and she could correctly
repeat what was said to her in her right ear to build up their
"Faith in God."
Finally,
Geneva gives thanks to THE WEEKLY PRESS ( one
of the local newspaper in Baton Rouge, La.) for printing her
article 32 YEARS DEAF, NOW SHE HEARS in the November 11, 2004
issue.

32 Years Deaf Now She Hears
Rev. Geneva M.
Bazille, had a miracle that took place at a
Women's Retreat sponsored by a local Baton Rouge church, held in
Mississippi during the weekend of October 8 thru the 10, 2004.
In the
Saturday night service October 9th, Geneva was prayed and ministered to
by a prophetess. Upon returning back to her seat the Holy Spirit
instructed Geneva to turn around in her chair and put her left finger
into her left ear (to stop sounds from entering her left ear). She was
able to hear sounds and her girlfriend's voice in her right ear. She
jumped up and announced to the group of women that she can now hear in
her right ear.
People were
shouting and praising God for the miracle that was just witnessed.
Thirty-two
years ago Geneva lost her hearing in her right ear due to an operation
needed to remove a tumor lodged in her brain and right ear. The hearing
loss was due to a sensor-neural and permanent in nature. Her word
recognition score (the ability to hear and understand speech) was %
(zero percent) in the right ear.
Tuesday,
October 12th, while praising and thanking God for her miracle, God
spoke to Geneva again and instructed her to call the Audiologist (who
documented her hearing loss) for a hearing test and mention to him that
she can now hear in her right ear. Upon hearing this the doctor told
her that he was amazed because her last visit to him, in 1999, the
medical results were "the right ear presented a profound, total
loss of hearing". The doctor instructed Geneva to come in for a
comprehensive audio logical evaluation, Thursday, October 14, 2:30 pm, Geneva's
birthday.
The doctor
completed the audio-logical evaluation and validated that she had 70%
of her hearing back in the right ear, five days after the patient
noticed perception of hearing in the right ear.
Geneva
continued to praise and glorify God for her miracle and thanking him
for his mercy and grace. The Holy Spirit gave her assignment (message)
"Go tell your family, friends, neighbors and the entire world, how
the Lord has blessed you with the gift of hearing again. That God is
still on the throne and hears his people cries. Also that he is mindful
of his people twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and three
hundred sixty five days a year. God also said
that he performed this miracle to give his people courage and hope.

And the Deaf Hear

If you don't
believe in modern day miracles, for whatever reason, here's a story
that we hope will change your mind.
Reverend Geneva
M. Bazille attended a Women's Retreat
conference in Mississippi on October 9th, 2004. while there, she
was prayed for and ministered to by a prophetess. Upon returning
to her seat, something amazing happened. The Holy Spirit spoke to
Geneva and instructed her to place her left finger in the opening in
her left ear. At this point, she could hear only the din of the
conference through her right ear. Some might say that's not so
special, but that's where Reverend Bazille's
miracle was.
Thirty-four years
ago, Geneva Bazille lost one hundred percent
of the hearing in her right ear as a result of a surgery to excise a
tumor lodged in her brain and right ear. The hearing loss was to
be total an permanent do to the removal of all
the bones in her inner ear! That is, until the Lord restored her
in this extraordinary way.
"The Holy
Spirit gave me an assignment, says Geneva, "to go out and tell the
whole world how God has blessed me with the fit of hearing and also
that He is still on the throne and that He hears His peoples'
cries". Geneva also added, "[God] is mindful of His
people twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and three hundred
and sixty-five days a year." Finally
she told us that God performed this miracle in her life to give His
people courage and hope.
Of course, this
mighty woman of God understands that some people are "see it to
believe it people", so she carries with her a portfolio containing
the audiologist reports before and after, as well as various news and
media clippings related to her healing.
We asked Geneva
what encouragement she could offer to others believing God for a
miracle in their lives and she said, "You have to believe God and
not lose faith if you don't get your miracle right away. Some
people pray for something and if they don't see results in thirty-two
minutes, they give up. I prayed for thirty-to years before
receiving my healing....Just trust God."

Geneva Bazille
Every day is a miracle for Geneva Bazille.
The Baton Rouge minister, 64, said two miraculous works
in particular keep her thanking and praising God for each day.
The first incident was in 1972 when a major brain
surgery spared her life but left her deaf in her right ear. The second
incident was when her hearing was restored in 2004.
“I almost didn’t see my 22nd birthday. God has given me
40-something extra years and you think I’m going to be sad? No indeed,”
said Bazille, a member of Faith
Chapel Church of God. “I have the
joy of the Lord in my heart, because I’m grateful.”
So grateful, in fact, that Bazille
has made it her mission to share her testimony every chance she gets. Bazille said it’s part of the “miracle assignment”
to tell “the entire world how the Lord has blessed me with the gift of
hearing again and that God is still on the throne and hears people
cry.”
In 2005, Bazille founded
Miracle Assignment Ministry Inc., a ministry that allows Bazille to share her testimony and give people hope
and encouragement through phone calls, conferences, retreats and even
home visits.
“Whatever the Holy Spirit tells me to do, I do it. I
serve others. I pray for people,” Bazille
said. “My assignment is a divine connection to the world. (God) is the
one that created this ministry. He’s the one that created this miracle
assignment. There wouldn’t be a miracle if he didn’t do it. … I’m doing
this because I’m grateful. God didn’t have to bring me back. God
doesn’t owe me anything; I owe him. I thank him everyday for Jesus. I
thank him everyday that he heals me.”
Bazille started experiencing headaches in elementary school. It
wasn’t until she was in college that doctors found the source of her
discomfort — a tumor on her brain stem.
The surgery in 1972 was life-threatening.
“After the surgery, my mother said she couldn’t identify
me at all except through my fingernails. I had beautiful fingernails
... They called the priest to give my last sacrament,” she said. “The
doctors told my parents if I lived within 24 hours, it would be a
miracle.”
If not death, doctors said a deep coma could leave Bazille in a vegetative state.
Bazille was in a coma for nearly three months and recalls
having a dream in which she was visited by a man in a white suit.
“He said, ‘You have received favor, mercy and grace with
the most high God.’ He said, ‘(God) rebuked
the spirit of death over your body and he’s going to pour out his
spirit into you, and you’re going to wake up out of that coma without
physical, speech or occupational therapy.”
Bazille came through but not without some physical damage. The
surgery got out most of the tumor but also removed Bazille’s
inner ear, middle ear, eardrum and facial nerves, causing deafness and
paralysis on the right side of her face.
“All they did was stick my ear back on my face. … My
eyes drooped. My mouth twisted. I was devastated,” she said.
Devastated for all of a few weeks.
“I wanted to live,” she said.
And in spite of the obvious and not-so-obvious scars, Bazille did her best to live life to the fullest.
She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Southern University in
sociology and a master’s in public administration and health care
administration.
She gave her life to Christ in 1979. “Ever since then, I
realized the best thing that ever happened to me was serving Jesus
Christ,” said Bazille, who was ordained as a
minister in 2003. “It was just like weight was lifted off me. I had
peace. I had joy. It was something where I never wanted to go back into
the world. I never wanted to go back into darkness because I knew my
future was so bright.”
Bazille’s life became even brighter on Oct. 9, 2004, during a women’s
retreat in Mississippi. At a service, she answered a minister’s call
for prayer. It wasn’t until after she got back to her seat and starting
talking to a friend that she heard another voice.
“The Holy Spirit said, ‘Didn’t you realize she was
talking to you on your right side in your right ear?’” she said.
Bazille’s hearing had been restored after 32 years.
“I was just standing there and said, ‘My prayers have
been answered. Thank you, Jesus, my prayers have been answered.’ I said
I don’t have to be deaf anymore. I don’t have to ask people to stand on
my left side anymore. I don’t have to ask people to repeat themselves.
I don’t have to read lips. The struggle is over,” she said.
Hearing tests a few days later only confirmed what God
had done. Her hearing was back to 70 percent. She had been deaf for 32
years.
“Every time I give my testimony, it was like it had just
happened because God had touched me,” she said.
She continues to use her story to touch others.
“All of us have trials and tribulations but we have to
learn how to overcome,” she said. “I didn’t hang on for 32 seconds or
32 minutes or 32 days or 32 months but 32 years to get my hearing, and
I’m still waiting for the manifestation of my complete healing.”
